A lot of businesses and people made this possible:
- Stoughton Youth Soccer (Howard Finer and Mario Ramos) donated a full size fridge (who also helped us move two fridges and a huge freezer).
- Kellie Moore from State Rep William Galvin office gave us a almost new dorm fridge.
- Brenda McGivern, CPA turned us onto a gentleman, Frank DeRose of Sharon, who donated a huge freezer.
- Stoughton Motel (Joe & Kathy Hannon) donated $100.00.
- Appel Electric (Ken Appel) donated some fixtures and a couple of hours of electrical work.
- Kelly Contracting (Steve Kelly) talked to Reliable Window and Siding (Albee DeStefano), who donated four brand new windows, which Steve installed .
- Stoughton Youth Commission (Karen Hall) did some cleaning and clearing of the interior space, getting rid of trash and some broken furniture.
- DPW (John Batchelder) sent a truck over to pick up whatever we had and hauled it away.
- Sherwin Williams Store (Pedro & Laura) provided us paint and supplies to take care of the interior.
- IKEA donated a number of items including furniture, shelving and window treatments. They also provided four volunteers to build all of the shelving and furniture.
We cannot forget all of the volunteers who had been involved during various aspects, cleaning, painting and rebuilding the pantry building:
- The painting crew consisted of Pat Basler, David Basler, Donna Locurto and Shawn Croke, along with some help from my daughter, Danielle. Not to be left out are two of our lovely 'Pantry Ladies', Suzanne Blacker and Hank Polanzak.
- On moving day, October 13, two Troop Leaders of Boy Scout Troop 516, John Kotlick and Al O'Neal, helped move a good portion of the food and shelving from the train station to the pantry. I also want to thank David Walsh, whose also involved with the Scouts, for helping coordinate.
Speaking of moving day, there were so many people helping that I just couldn’t get everyone’s name, but a group thank you goes out to all of them!
