Stoughton Chamber of Commerce
May Meeting @ Striar YMCA

The May Meeting, Hosted by the Striar Old Colony YMCA, was a collaboration between the Stoughton Chamber and the Stoughton Police Department

We were impressed with the wealth of information that Secret Svc Agent Derek Boyd had to offer regarding bank robbery and internet fraud as well as the information presented by Denis Wyatt from Randolph Savings Bank regarding identity theft. Both were given gift certificates from Peppercorns Restaurant by our Vice Chairman Mark Snyder

Lieutenant Robert Devine and Officer Brian Holmes offered facts regarding trends in crime and crime prevention, which was also very interesting and helpful in how we can protect ourselves if in a situation and what to do to help the police do their job.

Prior to the meeting starting, Joyce Dwyer, Ex Dir of the Striar YMCA, spoke and invited all to tour the facility when they had some time. The food served by Peppercorns Restaurant was delicious and there was plenty to go around, including some delectable desserts. All in all, it was a good meeting on an interesting subject.
