A large gathering at the N. E. Sinai Hospital's Brenner Conference Room on January 9, 2012 turned out for the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting.
Before the awards, guest speaker Steve Grogan, former New England Patriots quarterback from 1975-1990, entertained the crowd with self-deprecating stories of his adventures as a professional football player.
At the time of his retirement, Grogan led the franchise as the all-time leader in passing yards (26,886) and passing touchdowns (182). He is currently third lifetime in passing yards and passing touchdowns behind Tom Brady and Drew Bledsoe. His 16 seasons are the most ever for a Patriots player.

Awards were presented to Cindy Pazyra (Volunteer of the Year); Fred Yaitanes and Nadine Israel of the Fred & Nadine Team Realty (Business Persons of the Year); and Randolph Savings Bank (Business of the Year), RSB President Jack Doyle, and bank managers Beth Snell (a Chamber Board member) and Maria Pimentel, accepted the award.
An award was also given posthumously to the late David Parsons of Malcolm & Parsons Insurance Agency, accepted by his sister, Amne. David passed away at the age of 53, after rather short battle with cancer.
Town Manager, Francis T. Crimmins served as emcee for the evening. Presenting the awards were Stoughton Chamber Chairman Chris Petrie and Massachusetts State Representatives Lou Kafka (D-Stoughton) and Bill Galvin (D-Canton).
Also addressing the crowd: Stoughton Police Executive Officer Robert Devine, who is the Acting Police Chief, filling in for Chief Paul Shastany who is participating in an elite FBI training academy in Virginia; and Stephanie Patton, the new Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator for OASIS (Organizing Against Substances in Stoughton).
Kudos were given to
